ADCO reached an engineering milestone at Pimpama Sports Hub, with the first spliced truss spanning 37 meters erected.
Since beginning on site last year, ADCO has erected the roof cover over the netball center and made huge strides on courts, car parking, intersection, and roadworks.
The aquatic center is also coming together well, with the main pool hall substructure complete — this allows for the erection of the roof structure. The 50-meter pool is also taking shape, including the aquatic hydraulic reticulation.
Due for completion in 2021, the sports precinct will offer an aquatic center with multiple pools, netball and tennis courts, a multipurpose hall, café, health center, community center, function rooms, and car parking.
Pimpama Sports Hub will be 100% energy self-sufficient and is the largest community infrastructure project the City of Gold Coast has taken on.
ADCO has been pleased to be working with the client City of Gold Coast and project architectLiquid Blu.
