Avant Tecno started working with customers a few years ago to produce the first customized loader with hand drive. Since then Avant Tecno has worked on the design and refined it to ensure it was easy for operators with a lower-body disability or injury to use the Avant compact multipurpose loader with hand controls.
The design developed into an option that can be added to most Avant compact articulated loaders in the range. Both able-bodied and operators with a lower-body disability or injury can use the same machine as the change between drive pedals and hand drive is as easy as a flip of a switch on the dashboard.
With hand control, option operators can control the forward-reverse drive of the Avant loader from the joystick. Because the drive can be controlled with a thumb on the joystick, the driver can drive and control the movements of the boom at the same time. This makes it possible for operators with a lower-body disability or injury to make full use of the machine from the hand controls.
