The investment in Verton comes as The Crosby Group acknowledges the need to fast track automated technologies in rigging and lifting, a sector that still remains largely reliant on manual lifting processes – a huge safety and productivity issue across the industry. While some automation progress has been made in the crane industry, there has been virtually zero progress made in rigging and heavy lifting until now.

Verton, the inventor of the first remote-controlled load orientation system, is experiencing huge growth and will now quickly scale up its local Australian manufacturing operations to deliver expanded capabilities to benefit multiple industries including mining, ports, construction, renewables, as well as offshore and onshore rigging.

Verton launched the R-Series Everest system, a remote control load management system that eliminates the need for human-held tag lines to control suspended loads and keep people out of harm’s way. Global demand for this Australian technology is being embraced by industry leaders around the world in oil, gas, wind turbine, mining and construction. Its a truly an invention that delivers safety and productivity benefits that change the way things are done in an extremely positive way.
