Epiroc Wins a Mining Equipment Order from Rio Tinto in Pilbara

Epiroc, a productivity and sustainability partner for the mining and infrastructure industries, has won a significant order from Rio Tinto for mining equipment to be used in the company’s iron ore mines in the Pilbara region in Australia.

Rio Tinto, the global mining company, is operating an integrated network of iron ore mines in Pilbara in Western Australia. The mining company has ordered several Pit Viper 271 and SmartROC D65 drill rigs.

The order exceeds MSEK 130 in value and was booked in the first quarter 2021. Helena Hedblom, Epiroc’s President and CEO, says:
